What You CAN Do

You must take personal responsibility. You cannot change the circumstances, the seasons, or the wind, but you can change yourself. That is something you have charge of. You don’t have charge of the constellations, but you do have charge of whether you read, develop new skills, or take new classes. – Jim Rohn

You can complain or create.

You can criticize or encourage.

You can learn or you can regress.

You can test your self or watch more TV.

You can take risks or you can play it safe.

You can focus on what’s possible or what’s in the way.

You can expand the good or lament the bad.

You can either come from love or dwell in fear.

There is no spectating in life, no standing still . . . you’re either engaged or dis-engaged.

And neither is neutral.

There’s no hiding.

  • The Worst Phrase Ever

A little quickie for your Monday morning: The worst phrase, just about ever, is “I can’t do that because… ” I’ve been hearing that a fair bit lately, or I’ve been noticing more lately. Mostly it’s others saying it, but sometimes it’s – in one for or another – in my head. When we say I can’t…
