Admire, and Create

Admire Jesus’ compassion or the Buddha’s wisdom all you want, but what good can their qualities do you until you find them in yourself? – Byron Katie

What’s so powerful about this quote is that it insists that you already have these good, admirable qualities within you.

You may not be demonstrating those qualities to the extent you could, but you can change that.

How?

Slowly and gradually. That’s how all successful change efforts work.

Decide the kind of person you want to be and show yourself that you are that.

Create yourself as the sort of person you want to be.

Or continue to create yourself as you are.

I’m willing to bet that you will prefer the former.
