Heal Yourself

Hurt people, hurt people. That’s how pain patterns get passed on, generation after generation after generation. Break the chain today. Meet anger with sympathy, contempt with compassion and cruelty with kindness. Greet grimaces with smiles. Forgive and forget about finding fault.  Love is the weapon of the future. – Yehuda Berg

[Note: what follows might feel a bit woo-woo, or soft, but it’s truth and something everyone needs to consider and act on.]

We all have wounds.

But we’re not “wounded.”

We all have damage.

But we’re not “damaged.”

If you’re reading this I believe you have the ability, the innate capacity to see your wounds and damage and heal yourself.

Why?

Our true nature is peace, love and strength.

Any sense that we are not that is a story we have taken on as truth – and something we’ve stopped questioning.

It’s a myth though.

I want you to look at the damaged and wounded bits of you and see them as blips on a radar of wholeness.

I also want you find the shadow parts of you, the things for which you feel shame, or “other-ness” and shine your light of love on.

I want you to reconnect with the trueness of your being.

To be the one who meets pain with love.

Who meets anger with sympathy and grimaces with smiles.

As I heard someone say, in regards to being kind and loving, go first.

All you need to identify what’s in the way of that.

Your true nature is peace, love and strength.
