Are You Living or (Merely) Existing?

To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist, that is all. – Oscar Wilde

So, what’s the difference between “living” and “existing?”

One way is to honestly and clear-mindedly assess your trajectory.

If you keep doing what you’re doing, where will be in one year? five years? ten years?

Who will you be in one year? five years? ten years?

No one can predict the future, and that’s not what I’m suggesting you attempt; just get real about where you’re headed. If you are willing (trust me, you are able) to do this, you will see things you that you want to change, and things you want to preserve.

The key to living well (and not merely existing) is to preserve what you value and what’s working and replace things that are keeping you “safe,” small and stuck.
