Going Beyond a First Try

Character consists of what you do on the third and fourth tries. – James Michener

As hard as it is to try something new, it’s pretty darn hard to try it a third or fourth time.

Sometimes it doesn’t make sense to try, try again, and again, and again . . . .

But sometimes it does.

When are you doing something that really matters to you, you feel it in your gut.

True, sometimes you have to quiet the chatter of your monkey-mind to hear the true, deep longings of your soul (it talks to you through your gut, very often), but the wisdom of your Soul is always available to you.

When you hear the call of your Soul, do what it takes; even if it means a third, fourth, or more try.
