Purpose vs. Data

Never give up on what you really want to do.  The person with big dreams is more powerful than one with all the facts. – Albert Einstein

Why?

What is it about “big dreams” that trumps having “all the facts?”

Facts, to some degree, are necessary, but they are indeed insufficient.

Without the emotional power of an authentic dream, there is nothing to actually move you.

And if you don’t move, if you don’t act, nothing changes.

Get clear on what you want, and gather the necessary facts, but don’t think that some mere data is going to 1) get you going or 2) keep you going when things get hard.

It won’t.

Dreams, clearly and authentically imagined, and intelligently chunked down to doable tasks is what works.
