How Is Your Speech

Speech is the mirror of the soul; as a man speaks, so he is. – Publilius Syrus

Language is everything to our lives.

How we talk about who we are, what we want and what we get is so, so important.

The question is: how is your speech?

Do you build yourself up, or tear yourself down?

Do you dream and think big, creating solid plans and take action, or do you think small and tell yourself “It probably won’t work?”

Do you focus on strengths and what you can learn from experiences, or do you lament weaknesses and say “Oh well, sh*t happens?”

How does languageĀ work inĀ your life?

Not all disasters are fatal. If you accept these two truths, your approach to risk will change. If you build a disaster-tolerant nation or project or lifestyle,…

  • Beyond Responding

I’m not sure if it is a word, or even if it could be a word, but I want to offer you the option of “pre-ponding.” There’s responding and reacting (and there’s over-responding and over-reacting, but those options are for another post… ), and there is pro-acting. I want to create a distinction between pro-acting…
