Give First

Even after all this time the sun never says to the earth, ‘You owe me.’ Look what happens with a love like that. It lights the whole sky. – Hafiz

I was waiting for love to come to me, to be loved and cared for before giving love.

Whatever’s missing, in whatever way, bring it forth.

Give first and see what comes back.

Not because you want reciprocation, but because you want to have a life bathed in light.
