Walking Out of Safety

He who is outside his door has the hardest part of his journey behind him. – Dutch proverb

The hardest thing about anything is starting.

Not because the first step is the hardest of the steps, compared to the others.

But because there is Safety and anything (and everything) else.

It’s kinda like going swimming in cool water.

Is it uncomfortable to get wet? To jump in? To go from warm and dry to not warm and dry?

Sure.

But once you’re in, any drop of water isn’t any cooler than any other.

And you get used to it.

So jump in.

Walk through the door.

Begin the journey.
