Ya Gotta Stretch Yo Self

Any person who selects a goal in life which can be fully achieved, has already defined his own limitations. – Cavett Robert

In many respects its better to set a goal and fail to achieve it fully, than to accomplish exactly what you set out to do.

The latter means you didn’t stretch yourself.

And it’s likely you didn’t grow in the process.

Sometimes small goals are good.

Like adopting a new daily practice (especially replacing a non-resourceful one).

But a well-lived life is a combination of many small victories and a few massive reaches.

It is the goals/victories that put us in a growth mindset; constantly producing proof that change is possible.

But we also have to do things that scare us, that make us grow, that require new skills and abilities.

Otherwise, our world constricts and even though we think we’re being bold, we’re really just creating a slightly larger/different safe space.

Ya gotta stretch yo self!
