Maybe You Don’t Have to Change

Happiness comes when your work and words are of benefit to yourself and others. – Jack Kornfield

. . .  what you do, to be happy.

Maybe all you need to do is find meaning in what you’re doing know?

It’s very possible that by looking beyond the mundane and slog of your work that you find greater meaning and purpose in it.

People make the mistake of thinking they need to radically change their job to do something meaningful.

Often all you need to do is re-cast your perception of what you do and better understand how it serves their values and goals.

The easiest way to do this is look at earning money not as a job you’re forced to do, but as a way to provide for the things you want.

The truth is few of us would quit our jobs to do something noble (think: some low-paying charitable type work) to have meaningful work.

Instead, we can get clear about what matters to us and see our job as a way to support that.

Relax, it’s okay . . . you don’t have to change everything to change everything.

  • The Greatest Tragedy

It seems as many of us act as if death is the greatest tragedy. It’s a mistaken view. The greatest tragedy is not living while you’re alive. So many of us, myself included at times, “half” live in a state of muted fear. We live in a smaller, chastened way that keeps us from many…
