What Seeds are YOU Planting?

Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds that you plant. – Robert Louis Stevenson

Results are important, no doubt.

But the measure of our lives, and their direction can’t always be discerned at the end of each day, or week, or month.

I want you to be careful with my words here; they could easily be misinterpreted and taken as license to ignore or diminish a focus on results.

This is about making a distinction.

It’s about knowing that we are carefully, confidently and consistently creating important results in our lives.

And it’s also about the actions we take that do not yield immediate results or feedback.

It’s about the seeds we plant.

If you plant some grass and water it, but not much happens in a few weeks, take a careful look at the seed, the soil, the amount of sunlight and how much water it’s getting.

If, on the other hand, you’ve planted a tree, don’t dig up the ground if you don’t see a tree in a month. Just trust that you planted a seed and that one day a mighty oak will rise.
