It’s All About Expectations

“Things turn out best for the people who make the best of the way things turn out.” – John Wooden

I’ve heard that you get what you expect.

It’s true.

Why? Because we decide what everything means. And these decisions determine what we do and don’t do, consciously or otherwise, all the time.

If we want to see someone handing us $1M as terrible (because we will be beset with moochers, or whatever… ) then we will create the thoughts necessary for that view.

If we want to see the million as a wonderful opportunity to both create a measure of personal financial security and help others by careful, thoughtful donations, then we will.

What do you expect in your life? Do things always seem to go a certain way? Is it possible that you’re creating the conditions that create those outcomes?

How do you process and assign meaning to your situation and results? (Are you even aware that you are doing this all the time?)

Decide to find the best – or at least the lesson – in everything.
