The Best Time to Build a Roof (and to meditate, and… )

When is the best time to build a roof on your house ?

When it’s raining?

Of course not.

You put the roof on as soon as you can, when it’s sunny.

Meditation is the same way: you meditate before the storms of stress and change come.

Does it take a while to build an excellent roof that holds up to the storms we typically face?

Yup.

Are there storms that even a strong roof cannot withstand?

Of course . . . .

But if you never build, and maintain, that roof, you’re always going to get wet when it rains.

So it is with the non-resourceful thoughts – and the negative emotions that accompany them – that come with an un-trained mind.

Train.

Your.

Mind.
