Manage Well Your Attachments

If you want to live a happy life, tie it to a goal, not to people or things. – Albert Einstein

Attachments, as any Buddhist will tell you, are – at the very least – problematic.

So, if you’re going to hang your “future hat” on anything, hang it on a goal.

(Not people as they are just as (if not more) variable as you are and not things as they will (almost) always disappoint you.)

Or, I submit, hang it on what you want to create.

Creating something is much better than a (mere) goal.

They may well be the same when viewed from 10,000 feet, but they are quite different on-the-ground.

When you’re creating you’re in tune with the rhythm of life and nature.

Both your body and soul want to create, give them what they want and your energy will be off the charts.*

* Yes, goals can energize, but creating inspires.
