Confidence is Key

If you have no confidence in self, you are twice defeated in the race of life. With confidence, you have won even before you have started. – Cicero

Putting aside whether life is a “race, and what sort of race it is if we see as such, we must believe in ourselves.

There’s really not much I can add to the above quote, other than to say:

– if you lack confidence you are both living a diminished life (first defeat) and not taking the risks that will allow you to grow and develop (second defeat);

– if you develop accurate, humble confidence you will have won before you start anything, mainly in just having the ability to start something.
