The Power of Inertia

Inertia is the reason I can say the following with absolute certainty about your immediate future: the most reliable predictor of what you will be doing five minutes from now is what you are doing now. – Marshall Goldsmith

Inertia can either work for you, or against you.

Your thoughts will determine what things become your habits.

Your habits are what you do, most of the time.

Your habits will, in large measure, determine what you’re doing in five minutes.

What are you doing now?

Is it leading you to the “five-minutes-from-now” that you truly want?
