What Are You Overlooking?

I had the blues because I had no shoes until upon the street, I met a man who had no feet. – Unknown

It’s so easy to get used to the abundance and opportunity we enjoy here in the United States.

So easy to forget that, even though our political system is far from perfect, we enjoy stability, peace and freedom.

It’s easy to get used to the good health so many of us enjoy.

So easy to forget that there are many who suffer chronic conditions and pain and may be terminally ill.

I could on and on citing examples of the things so many of us take for granted.

But what I’d rather do to remind us (yes, me too!) that there is much more that goes right in our world, so much for us to be thankful and grateful for that we’re much better off focusing on what’s working and what’s right.

What we focus on expands.

Focus on the good.

It’s important to understand that change is hard. We are genetically programmed to avoid…

[The essence of self-esteem:] “If I’m not on my team, why would anyone else be?” – Robery Downey, Jr. I heard Robert say that while being interviewed on Jimmy Kimmel Live. “Successful people recognize crisis as a time for change – from lesser to greater, smaller to bigger.” – Edwin Louis Cole There’s something to be learned from this quote, but there’s another way of looking at this that’s (potentially) evolutionary. I have been re-listening to Thomas Leonard’s (excellent!) audio program, The 28 Principles of Attraction, in…
