Who Deserves Love?

You can search throughout the entire universe for someone who is more deserving of your love and affection than you are yourself, and that person is not to be found anywhere. You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe deserve your love and affection. – Buddha

I have recently begun to think a great deal about what we deserve.

I had gone back-and-forth in my mind of how to make the case that we deserve love,* and safety,* and peace,* but struggled a bit with the word “deserve.”
