What Are You Missing?

Keep these concepts in mind: You’ve failed many times, although you don’t remember. You fell down the first time you tried to walk. You almost drowned the first time you tried to swim . . . . Don’t worry about failure. My suggestion to each of you: Worry about the chances you miss when you don’t even try. – Sherman Finesilver

It’s funny, we generally don’t remember the specifics of when things go wrong, we just think they have.

Especially when we think about trying something new, or scary.

But our bigger “fear” should be what we’ll miss when we don’t try for the things we truly want.

Put more positively, when you get clear about what you really want, and go for that, two magical things happen:

1) You crowd out the crap and the stuff you don’t want because you’re focused on what you do want.

2) You cultivate and expand your willingness and ability to do “scary” stuff and begin – more and more – to get it.

That’s how you “miss” less.

By going for what you (really) want.
